The wire trail, which can also be called a post-war monument to the times when Ljubljana was surrounded by barbed wire, is a city recreation ring that attracts more than 30,000 participants every year at the beginning of May. The hike for all age groups – from kindergartens to adults – is conducted along an undemanding 32.5 km long route, on which eight or nine checkpoints are organized. The start of the route is left to the individual decision, as is the individual's decision as to how much of the route he will walk. Each control point is intended to collect stamps, and participants receive special awards for the entire route covered. You will receive the following awards for the distance covered:
· a bronze medal for the once traveled route;
· a silver medal for the route covered five times;
· a gold medal for the route covered ten times.
You can walk the route once or several times in several stages. Where you start is not specified. You can start where it suits you best. Your task is to collect all nine control stamps. You can collect the stamps with the help of the downloaded application or on a card, and pick up the medal at TIMING Ljubljana, the association for the implementation of sports programs at Staničeva 41.
